SLS glass-filled polypropylene is polypropylene reinforced with glass, keeping PP's chemical resistance and low moisture absorption. It is stiffer, stronger, and deflects under load at about 130 °C instead of 60 °C when compared to unfilled PP. The trade-offs are weight and ductility: Density rises and elongation falls. Like other PP, it degrades in prolonged sunlight. SLS glass-filled polypropylene works well for engine-compartment components, brackets, and chemical-resistant housings.
